It all started
back in the late seventies when Fun Plex opened at its current location on 70th
& Q streets in Omaha, NE. Fun
Plex started with just a go-kart track and soon added a miniature golf course
and some pinball machines.
Additions to
the park in the 1980's allowed Fun-Plex to call itself Nebraska's Largest
Waterpark and Rides. Most of the
rides added have withstood the test of time and remain all time favorites for
the whole family, including; the slick track, bumper boats, bumper cars, and
go-gator kiddie coaster. The
waterpark began with the wave pool and soon followed with the 5-story
waterslides
and kiddie pool.
Since those
days, Fun Plex has enjoyed bigger crowds than ever. The park has added many more attractions aimed at providing
something for everyone. The lazzzy
river was added, allowing guests to take a relaxing break from the slides and
waves. Small children love the
planes, trains, and automobiles in our kiddie park. The thrill seeker finds some refuge from the Chaos, Rock-O-Ride,
and Tilt-A-Whirl. And the whole
family enjoys a leisurely ride on the Classic Carousel and Balloon Ferris
Wheel.
Fun Plex is
extremely excited about the 2007 summer season. New go-karts and a larger track along with a brand new,
beautiful 18-hole miniature golf course, bring Fun Plex back to its
roots. And setting itself apart from
any other facility in the area, Fun-Plex is extremely excited to introduce
Nebraska's only Roller Coaster.
Fun Plex is
the highest quality of family fun in the Omaha area. There is truly something for
everyone. Fun Plex has been hosting
company picnics, birthdays, group outings, and family fun days for 30 years,
and plan to go 30 more!
